A Japanese Gathering
Remote farm village Nachikatsuura, Japan
Issue One: the papers
Issue One is the first of five issues by Store & Archive. The series of papers aims to establish a dialogue on "the everyday". On Collecting includes a range of photo essays, discourse from within the Store & Archive studio, and text contributions by fellow creatives.
Issue One is a limited edition of 50 handmade publications printed on 130gsm drawing paper, with an additional literary supplement printed on 49gsm newsprint hand stitched into the issue.
We aim to establish a dialogue across creative fields, whilst exploring some of our work within the studio in order to give it some contextual grounding. We wish to explore a lifestyle where being creative is fundamental to those things that we see, do and explore in our everyday.
A day of adventure and discovery in April 2017 under the emerging blossoms of the cherry trees; a small gathering looked to connect with the landscape and all things new. This gathering took place at an abandoned village in a remote forest in Japan.
